Shipman & Goodwin LLP has an opening for a Marketing & Business Development Specialist, resident in our Hartford office. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong writing skills. The primary responsibility of the Marketing & Business Development Specialist is to prepare responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs), as well as coordinate pitches and capabilities proposals. Additional responsibilities include managing the firm’s proposal system and representative experience database, drafting news releases, attorney biographies, practice and/or industry group descriptions and other firm content.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field. In addition, three to five years of business development, marketing, or professional services experience is preferred.  The successful candidate must have excellent time management and organizational skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills.  A high degree of computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word is essential. Experience using a proposal system and representative experience database and Canva, preferred.
