Watchmaker
Lux Bond & Green, 128-year-old family-owned luxury jewelry & watch retailer, is seeking two full-time Watchmakers to join a dedicated team in our West Hartford Flagship store. This rare opportunity requires a meticulous eye for detail and a deep pride in the preservation and restoration of exceptional timepieces. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Full Service & Restoration: Diagnose, disassemble, clean, assemble, oil, and regulate complex mechanical timepieces.
Quality Assurance: Conduct water resistance testing and positional timekeeping accuracy to meet brand standards.
Component Refinement: Fabricate or adjust micro-components, perform case and bracelet refinishing when necessary.
Provide excellent customer experience and communicate accurate repair timelines.
Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
Requirements
TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE
Continuous mastery of technical expertise by actively participating in specialized brand training workshops.
Attend and actively participate in scheduled Service Department meetings.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Strong team player willing and capable of training and motivating others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, client service, and time management skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Deep understanding of and passion for luxury timepieces is preferred.
Strong comprehension of precision tools and diagnostic equipment.

Watchmaker certification required. For one of the two position, Rolex certification is strongly preferred.
3-5 years of bench experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires regular sitting, talking, hearing, and manual dexterity; frequent standing, walking, and reaching; and occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting to 10 lbs. Standard vision abilities (including color and depth perception) are required, alongside the use of jeweler’s loupe or magnification equipment.
