Summary
The Senior Associate supports the scholarship and awarding process by managing stakeholder communications, maintaining applicant and fund data and coordinating meetings and events. This role processes scholarship and grant payments, monitors submissions, and ensures timely, accurate reporting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicate with scholarship stakeholders (scholarship applicants, award recipients, donors, fund representatives, academic representatives, recipients’ parents, renewal applicants, volunteers, staff and general public) concerning application process and progress.
- Maintains applicant and awardee information in Foundant SLM (Scholarship Lifecycle Manager).
- Assists in development of application and communication templates.
- Provides technical assistance to stakeholders.
- Assists in the coordination of virtual and in-person department, committee and volunteer meetings and events in support of the program.
- Maintain scholarship fund and scholarship recipient files.
- Works closely with Grants Administration colleagues to process scholarship recipients’ materials for award payments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains process documentation on workflow seeking ways to continuously improve process.
- Develops proficiency in Foundant programs, particularly GLM (Grants Lifecycle Manager) and SLM (Scholarship Lifecycle Manager), ensuring that all information remains current, and that technology solutions and reporting are fully utilized.
- Processes payments to grantees according to detailed award specifications.
- Maintains, develops and runs regular reports from GLM and SLM.
- Provides a broad range of research assistance, administrative and technical support as needed.

- Proficiency with database software, including data entry, creation of standard reports and ensuring data integrity.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Degree requirement can be substituted with equivalent practical experience.
- Associate degree.
- 3 or more years of related experience in a nonprofit organization or educational institution.
Preferred
Grants or scholarship administration experience.
Location
This is a hybrid position that includes remote work (up to 2 days per week) and in-office work in Hartford, CT
