Hurwitz Sagarin & Slossberg is seeking a dedicated, hard-working litigation attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in courtroom proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Take and defend depositions of parties and fact witnesses
- Research factual and legal issues and collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy
- Draft pleadings, memoranda, discovery demands and responses, motions, and briefs
- Examine records and transactions, underlying business disputes, and potential client claims
- Work across a variety of litigation practice areas including but not limited to antitrust, class actions, unfair trade practices, business disputes, and employment.
Qualifications:
- A passion for litigating
- Admission to the Connecticut Bar (required)
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
- Experience with Connecticut State Court and Federal Court practice
- Federal or state judicial clerkship experience (preferred)
- Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- The ability to work independently
- Prior experience in commercial litigation is preferred, but not required
Work Environment and Expectations:
- A full-time, in-person opportunity in Hurwitz Sagarin and Slossberg’s Milford Office
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000
